London, ON – The Mustangs family joins the entire sports community in mourning the passing of coach, mentor and friend Cameron Cross.

Cross passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the age of 52, following a brief illness.

Over 16 seasons, he helped lead the Mustangs to nine OUA championships and two national championships. In 2025, he and his fellow coaches were named Canadian University Men's Tennis Coaches of the Year.

His love of the game was shared by each of his children. Cross had the joy of coaching his sons, Lawson and Ashton, as co-head coach of the Mustangs men's tennis team. His daughter Kayla also played for LSU and turned professional this past year.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Western University Men's Tennis Program at https://giving.westernu.ca/giving/cameron-cross/

A private service will be held in the coming weeks.

Please join us in sending our deepest condolences to Cross's family & friends at this extremely difficult time.
