GAME RECAP

The opening set was back-and-forth right from the start, with both teams trading points and settling into long rallies. The Mustangs found a bit of momentum midway through the set with a strong stretch at the net and a couple of timely stops on defense. Toronto kept it close and even pushed back late, but Western won a few key points in a row near the end to pull ahead and close it out, taking the set 25–22.

The second set started similarly, with neither side able to build much of a gap. Toronto started to gain control in the middle of the set by capitalizing on some Western errors and putting pressure on serve. Western tried to rally late and cut into the lead, but Toronto stayed composed and finished the set to even the match, winning 25–22.

In the third set, Western came out sharper and turned a close start into a solid run of points. Strong serving and better control at the net helped stretch the lead, and even when Toronto slowed the momentum, the Mustangs answered with important side-outs. That steady stretch was enough to keep control through the end of the set, which Western won 25–20.

Western carried that energy into the fourth set, opening up an early lead and forcing Toronto to chase. Toronto made a push to close the gap, but Western responded with a few timely points, including a big block and a clean kill to swing the momentum back. The match wrapped up soon after, with Western closing the set 25–20 and taking the match in four sets.
