London, ON - The Mustangs generated chances but couldn't find the spark and fell 3-1 to Brock Friday night.
Western had five of their six shots after halftime and finished with four shots on goal.
Miranda Preece provided the Mustangs' scoring action to reduce a Brock lead, and Western generated two shots and a corner kick during a late stretch while playing from behind.
"it's a tough one for me to, it wasn't a performance that we were particularly proud of." said Associate Coach Onkar Dhillon. "I think we saw some things when we shifted styles there and we changed some personnel and we obviously were a threat over top and then that became a little bit more of our style in the second half."

The Mustangs fell behind in the first half when Jenna Parris scored for Brock at 4:24. Astrid Hancocks made saves at 30:49 and 32:13, while Emily Foster put Western's best recorded chance on goal at 31:29. Brock added a Kayleigh DiGirolamo penalty kick at 39:53, sending the Mustangs into halftime down 2-0.
Preece cut Western's deficit to 2-1 at 59:14, but Brock answered at 63:53 through Jenna Parris off Kate Halley's assist to make it 3-1. The Mustangs continued to create chances, including Ava Beuk's saved shot in the 72nd minute, Lowyn Weber's wide attempt and corner in the 79th, and Sophia Saville's late shot high, before the match finished 3-1.
