LONDON, Ontario — Western played Windsor to a 1-1 tie Friday night. Sophia Saville scored at 86:08, equalizing late after the Mustangs had been down 1-0.
The Mustangs finished with a 9-7 edge in total shots, while both teams put five shots on goal and Astrid Hancocks made four saves.
Associate Head Coach Onkar Dhillion said the performance reflected progress despite missed opportunities: "Beyond the points, I'm really happy with the way we played. We defended well. We executed our game plan. We had our chances. Earlier, the Mustangs earned three corner kicks from 61:44 to 69:24 around Windsor's own-goal opener, and Saville hit the crossbar at 73:07. Foster put a shot on goal at 90:00, and the match ended 1-1.
