Biography

Notes:
A tremendously versatile player with the ability to play any position.  Is a solid outside shooter with sound perimeter skills.  One of the most skilled players over 6 feet in the country, has great hands and passing touch.  Will be a key component for the success of the Mustangs in 2009/10.

As a Senior:
Parkes had her season cut short by a foot injury which sidelined her for the second half of 08/09.  Before the injury, Parkes was third on the squad in scoring with 10 points per game and second in rebounding, grabbing 7 boards per contest.  Recorded a double-double vs. Ryerson on 11/14 with 10 points and 12 rebounds. 

As a Junior:
Plagued by back injuries most of the season, Paron was able to steadily improve as the season progressed.  She averaged 9.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 21 minutes of play.  She remains one of the better 3-point shooters in the CIS averaging 41.8% from behind the arc (good for 10th in the CIS).  Had a season high 19 points vs. RMC on November 17.

As a Sophomore:
Established herself as a force in the OUA as she was named a Second Team OUA West All-Star.  Nadine played in all 22 games last year averaging 29.1 minutes per game.  She also averaged 14.5, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.  She shot 43% from the field and a spectacular 43% from the 3-point line.  SHe also shot 79.7% from the free-throw line.  Had a season high and team high 30 points vs. Waterloo on .  Had a double-double 22 points and 10 rebounds vs. Toronto on 11/17/06.  Had a double-double 21 points and 10 rebounds vs. Laurentian on 12/01/07.  Scored 22 points vs. #10 ranked Brock on 01/10/07.  Scored 19 points vs. #2 ranked McMaster on 02/03/07.

As a Freshman:
Another player who decided to stay in the CIS over NCAA scholarship offers.  Nadine began her freshman season with an injury which kept her out of the pre-season.  Averaged 6.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 13 minutes per game.  Shot 39% from the field and 38% from beyond the arc.  Scored a season high 18 points vs. McMaster on 01/21.

Medway High School:

Fran Wigston Award winner for outstanding graduating female basketball player.  London Free Press Athlete of the Year for Medway in 2005.  OFSAA Silver Medalist in 2002 and consoloation champions in 2004.  Captain in grade 11 and 12.  Ontario scholar.

Personal:
Daughter of Terry and Dino.  Has older brother Alan.  Is majoring in Kinesiology.
