Dynamic guard with scoring ability. A scoring threat in all phases - can shoot from outside, penetrate, and has a solid mid-range game. Amanda is one of the better athletes in the conference and is a tireless worker. Can play the point and off-guard positions. One of the team's captains this season. Was a member of the Junior National Team in 2004. A four-time OUA All-Star.
As a Super-Senior:
Amanda capped off her college career beautifully, leading the team in numerous categories. Not only did she log an immense 707 minutes throughout the year, Amanda also netted 388 points and 91 rebounds. Amanda was also 42.2% on her field goals and 82.4% from the free throw line.
As a Senior:
Had another stellar season being named a First-Team OUA All-Star. Anderson was 5th in the OUA in scoring averaging over 16 points per game. She also chipped in with 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest. Anderson became the all-time leading scorer in Western Mustangs history bypassing Michele Vesprini on February 7th vs. Lakehead.
As a Junior:
Was named a Second Team OUA All-Star after averaging 13.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in 29.6 minutes. Was 4th in the nation in 3-point shooting hitting at a 45.2% clip. Her assist average of 4.1 was good for 11th in the CIS and 3rd in the OUA. She was 8th in the CIS in FT% shooting just under 85%. Scored a season high 24 points in a OUA West semi final loss to Windsor. Had a career high 10 assists vs. Waterloo on January 12th.
As a Sophomore:
Was named a Second Team CIS All-Canadian as well as a First Team OUA All-Star, and the team's Most Valuable Player. Averaged a team high 34.9 minutes per game. Had a scoring average of 14.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. Shot an impressive 41% from the field and a spectacular 50.7% from the 3-point arc. Scored a career high 26 points vs. Guelph on 01/05/07. Scored 22 points vs. Toronto on 11/17/06 and 24 points vs. Laurentian on 12/01/06. Had a season high 8 assists vs. Windsor on 01/13/07 and 7 assists vs. Lakehead on 01/27/07. had a season high 9 rebounds vs. Windsor on 02/11/07.
As a Freshman:
Won the CIS Rookie of the Year award. She was also a first team OUA All-Star. Averaged 11.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Shot an impressive 35% from beyond the arc and a solid 85% from the free throw line. Scored 20 points vs. York on 01/06. Had a season high 21 points vs. Guelph on 02/08.
Chatham-Kent High School:
2005 Jack Parry Award for excellence in athletics and academics for the Chatham-Kent region. 2005 OFSAA Champions in basketball, Bronze medalists in soccer. 2003 Provincial champions in club volleyball, ball hockey, hockey and Silver Stick champions. Has been iducted into the CK Athletic Hall of Fame.
