Biography
Sarah is a solid combo guard who will add depth to the Mustangs lineup and is a tenacious defender and is an excellent shooter. Sarah also finishes in transition very well. Mallen has worked hard to rehabilitate her knee from her ACL tear and plans to join the lineup at some point in the season.
As a Junior:
Sarah returned from her injury-prone season to average a healthy 20.4 minutes per game. She also averaged 50% from the free throw line and 64 rebounds overall.
As a Sophomore:
Sarah worked hard in the off-season to work her way into the starting line-up. The reliable Mallen averaged 3.4 points in 15 minutes per game before suffering a season-ending ACL injury on 01/17 vs. McMaster. Had a season high 11 points vs. Laurentian on 11/22.
As a Freshman:
Sarah had a solid rookie campaign for the Mustangs. Sarah came off the bench and averaged 14 minutes per game in 2007-08. She averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds per game. Sarah showed that she will be an excellent defender over her career as she was a key component in that role when starting guard Deena Kurilsky was out of the lineup in the first half of the year. Had a season high 7points vs. RMC on November 17.
At Welland Notre Dame Secondary School:
Sarah was named Female Athlete of the Year as well as her team's MVP. She was an honour role student who led her team to several tournament titles.

Daughter of Cheryl and Patrick, has a brother Bob.
