2015-16: Regular season: Played in 66 sets over 17 games to record 202 kills, 17 aces, 125 digs, and 56 total blocks... Totalled 252.5 poitns, averaging 3.8 points per game... Playoffs: Played in all 12 sets across three games to record 43 kills, three aces, 34 digs, and 49.5 points... Twice named Western's Player of the Game at OUA Final Four...

2014-15: Joined the Mustangs from Leaside Lightning Volleyball Club… Regular Season: Played in 66 sets across 16 matches to record 159 kills, 13 service aces, 129 digs, and 38 blocks to total 196 points… Playoffs: Played in all 13 sets across three mtches to record 42 kills, three service aces, 25 digs, and five blocks for 48.5 points.

Personal: Full name is Aja Y. Gyimah, daughter of Alex and Debora Gyimah of Toronto, ON. A graduate of Sir Oliver Mowat CI, Gyimah was an honor roll student all four years of high school and was named the school Athlete of the Year in 2012. She also served as a member of the school’s Athletic & Environmental Councils. She has been selected to represent Ontario as a member of the 2014 Team Ontario Indoor Program, and also represented Canada on an International stage at the 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel to earn a bronze medal. In 2013-14 Gyimah finished her club career competing with the Leaside Volleyball Club, and was named an OVA Provincial All-Star.
