Mustangs Photographer Job Description

As a Photographer with Western Athletics, students will get closer to the action than any fan. Mustangs Photographers get up-close and personal with athletes here at Western to document games and collect photos for various projects for the Western Mustangs Communications team. Working with the Manager, Communications and Media Relations, the Mustangs Photographer is responsible for helping cover the Western Mustangs teams and student-athletes throughout the athletic season. Students will work out of the Mustangs Communications Office in the Western Student Rec Centre and at Mustangs home games across campus.
 

Key Responsibilities

·       Photographing Mustangs home events
·       Distributing photos to communications staff and any designated media
·       Archiving and naming photos 
 

Required Qualifications

·       Strong photography skills
·       Must possess own high-quality camera equipment
·       Previous sports photography experience considered an asset
 

Required Availability

Typically 5-12 hours per week, depending on the sport schedule. Work hours will be primarily on weekends and evenings.
