2026-27 Official Rules and Regulations

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

The Western Mustangs Show for Dough promotion (the "Contest") is administered by Western University, Sports & Recreation ("Western Mustangs" or the "Sponsor"). By participating in the Contest, eligible participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Regulations.

1. Contest Period

The Contest will operate during the 2026-27 Western Mustangs varsity season at designated Western Mustangs home games ("Designated Games").

Designated Games will be determined by Western Mustangs and may be communicated through Western Mustangs promotional materials, social media, in-venue announcements, westernmustangs.ca or other communications.

Western Mustangs reserves the right to add, remove, reschedule or change Designated Games as required.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to students who:

• are registered as first-year undergraduate students at Western University for the 2026-27 academic year, including students at an affiliated university college;
• are actively enrolled and in good standing with Western University at the time of the applicable draw; and
• have not opted out of the Contest.

Students do not need to purchase a ticket or make any purchase to be eligible for the Contest.

Employees of Western University directly involved in administering the Contest and any other individuals involved in conducting the draw are not eligible to participate.

3. How to Participate

Eligible first-year students will be automatically included in the Contest unless they choose to opt out.

Students who do not wish to participate may opt out at any time by emailing mustangs@uwo.ca from their Western email account and requesting removal from the Show for Dough Contest.

There is no cost to participate.

4. How Show for Dough Works

For each Designated Game, Western Mustangs will randomly select one eligible first-year student as the potential winner.

You must show to win the dough.

The selected student must be in attendance at the applicable Designated Game when their name is announced in order to be eligible to claim the prize.

The selected student will be given FIVE MINUTES from the time of the announcement to report to the FAN SERVICES TENT at football OR DJ BOOTH/ANNOUNCERS TABLE at all other games and present valid Western student identification.

If the selected student is present, reports within the allotted time and satisfies all eligibility requirements, they will be eligible to claim the applicable prize, subject to these Rules.

If the selected student is not in attendance, does not report within the allotted time, cannot provide appropriate identification or is otherwise ineligible, the prize will not be awarded at that game and the money will be added to the prize available at the next Designated Game.

No alternate student will be selected at that game.

5. The Prize – The Pot Builds!

The initial prize is $100 CAD.

An additional $100 CAD will be added to the prize for each subsequent Designated Game until an eligible selected student is in attendance and successfully claims the prize.

For example:

Game 1 – $100
No winner present → pot carries over.

Game 2 – $200
No winner present → pot carries over.

Game 3 – $300
Selected student is present and meets all requirements → $300 is awarded.

Following a successful win, the prize will reset to $100 for the next Designated Game.

The maximum potential prize available during the 2026-27 season will depend on the number of consecutive Designated Games at which a prize is not awarded.

All prize amounts are stated in Canadian dollars.

6. Selection of Potential Winners

Before each Designated Game, one eligible student will be selected at random from the pool of eligible first-year Western University students.

The odds of being selected depend upon the total number of eligible students included in the Contest at the time of each draw.

Selection as the potential winner does not guarantee that the student will receive the prize. The selected student must be present at the applicable Designated Game and satisfy all other requirements contained in these Rules.

7. Verification and Skill-Testing Question

Before being declared an official winner, the selected student must:

• be physically present at the applicable Designated Game;
• report to the designated location within the announced time;
• present valid Western University student identification;
• satisfy all eligibility requirements;
• correctly answer, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question; and
• complete any declaration, acknowledgment or prize documentation reasonably required by Western University.

Failure to satisfy any of these requirements will result in the selected student forfeiting the prize. The prize will then carry forward and increase by $100 for the next Designated Game.

8. Prize Conditions

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be substituted or transferred to another individual.

Western Mustangs will make reasonable arrangements with the confirmed winner for payment or delivery of the prize.

Western University reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make the advertised method of awarding the prize unavailable.

9. Attendance and Conduct

Participation in Show for Dough does not alter the normal conditions of admission to Western Mustangs events.

Students attending Western Mustangs games are expected to comply with all applicable Western University policies, venue rules and spectator conduct requirements.

Being selected as a potential winner does not provide special admission, access or seating privileges.

10. Publicity and Privacy

Western University will use student information only as permitted by applicable law and Western University policies and for purposes associated with administering the Contest.

A confirmed winner may be asked for permission to have their name, photograph and/or image used in Western Mustangs communications relating to Show for Dough.

11. General Conditions

Western University reserves the right, in its reasonable discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Contest, or modify these Rules, where circumstances beyond its reasonable control affect the proper administration, security, fairness or operation of the Contest.

Western University also reserves the right to verify the identity and eligibility of any selected participant and to disqualify any participant who does not comply with these Rules or who attempts to interfere with the fair operation of the Contest.

Decisions made by Western University concerning the administration and interpretation of these Rules will be final, subject to applicable law.

The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
