  • National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 3 – Theory and Football
  • Prévôt Certification in Sabre through the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA)
Experience:
  • Joined the Western Mustangs fencing program as Co-Head Coach in the 2000–01.
  • Has guided Western fencers to numerous individual OUA honours, including:
    • Paul Simms – George Tully Trophy (2001–02)
    • Dave Collins – Charles Walter Trophy (2005–06)
    • Andrea Csiba – Dr. Alex English Trophy (2006–07)
    • Vivian Poon – Dave O'Donnell Trophy (2012–13)
  • Helped lead the Mustangs to OUA team championships in Men's Foil (2005–06), Men's Épée (2004–05), Women's Épée (2006–07), and the Women's Team Championship (2017, 2024).
  • Has more than 30 years of coaching experience in fencing and football.
  • Spent 15 years coaching the University of Waterloo football team, primarily coaching special teams.
  • Served as Assistant Football Coach at Laurier Secondary School in London, Ontario, and as Head Coach of the London Beefeaters Football Club, where he received the Gord Currie Award as Coach of the Year in 2009.
  • Member of the Coaching Association of Canada, Coaches Association of Ontario, United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA), and the Classical Fencing Academy.
  • Teaches introductory fencing courses at Western University and Fanshawe College.
  • Serves as Head Instructor of the Mustang Sword Club and leads multiple youth fencing camps each year.
