Gaetan Richard enters his first season with the Mustangs in 2019.

Richard began his coaching career with his alma mater at Mount Allison University in 2008.  Over his 11 years with the Mounties, Richard served as offensive coordinator and run game coordinator while coaching every position on offence. He also coordinated strength and conditioning as well as academics during his tenure.  Coach Richard was part of the staff that helped elevate the program from winless to undefeated. The team went on to compete in four consecutive conference championships, winning two. Richard coordinated the highest scoring offence in program history as well as the highest scoring offence in the conference multiple times.  

Coach Richard has coached and helped develop two Conference Rookies of the Year, one National Rookie of the Year, four CFL Draft Picks as well as offensive player of the year in the conference.
 
Richard has helped develop minor and provincial programs in New Brunswick serving as offensive coordinator and head coach for the Football New Brunswick U18 program as well as NCCP program facilitator. Over the last 6 years, Richard coordinated the Sackville Minor Football spring camps, helping the Tantramar Titans win four consecutive New Brunswick High School football championships.
 
Richard played high school football at Mathieu-Martin in Dieppe New Brunswick where his family still resides. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History (Mount Allison University).

Gaetan and his wife Danielle live in London with their two children Aiden and Florence.
