Matt Snyder begins his first season on the Western coaching staff in 2019 as the Running Backs coach after spending the last 7 seasons as the Offensive Coordinator for the provincial powerhouse London South Collegiate Lions. Â
During his final 4 years at South, Coach Snyder helped lead the South Lions to a record of 32-3 vs London opponents, including a stretch of 19 straight wins, 4 straight Public League Championship appearances, back to back London City Championships (2016 and 2017) and a 2016 OFSAA Championship.
In 2018, Snyder served as a guest coach during the Mustangs training camp, working with the Full Backs and Tight Ends before returning to his high school team.
 Snyder has also served as the Head Coach for the London Junior Mustangs U17 team since 2017, leading the team to first place in the OPFL Western Conference and a spot in the Western Conference Finals in back to back years.
 Additionally, Snyder has previously coached at the national level, as the Offensive Coordinator for the London Beefeaters of the CJFL.
 A resident of London, Snyder attended Montcalm Secondary School before graduating from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Arts (History) where he also played Quarterback for the Lancers.
