Biography
Jenny is a dynamic guard who is comfortable being a scorer or creating opportunities for her teammates. A relentless defender, Jenny blends her tremendous work ethic with a high basketball intellect to be a leader on the floor. Jenny has spent the last two seasons as the starting point guard for the Junior Women's National Team and led them in 2009 to a 4th place finish, the highest ever for a Canadian JWNT. A true winner, Jenny has won both the U17 and U15 National Championships with Team Ontario and was named MVP of the 2007 tournament.
At Western:
Jenny sat out the 2009-10 season as a redshirt transfer but practiced with the team in preparation for her 2010-11 debut.
At Denver:
Jenny had an impact in her rookie season at the University of Denver. She averaged 3.5 ppg in 17.8 minutes of action per contest.
At St. Mary's (NEDA):
Jenny played two years of high school basketball for coach Rich Wesolowski. She won an OFSAA "AAAA" gold medal in 2005. Jenny was then selected for the National Elite Development Academy for her last two years of high school.
Personal:
Daughter Bill and Gail Vaughan. Has three younger brothers, Michael, Matthew and Kevin. Is studying Kinesiology.
