A professor in the Psychology department, McRae is affiliated with the Brain & Mind Institute at Western as well as the Neuroscience program. He has been a professor at Western since 1993, typically teaching statistics and Cognitive Science, and his research generally is about how people understand language. Outside of academics, McRae and his spouse - a librarian at Western - have two daughters, the oldest of which is in graduate school and the youngest a part of the workforce.Â
