Biography
2013-14: Named team captain, provided great leadership on and off the court … Saw action in 52 of 75 sets as a outside attacker, libero and defensive specialist. Secured a role as the go to serving specialist and defensive specialist for the second half of the OUA regular season schedule… Had a season high 7 digs vs. Toronto (Jan. 24).
2011-12: Joined the Mustangs from Forest City Volleyball Club...
Personal: Full name is Laura Lytwynec, daughter of Wally and Donna Lytwynec of London, ON. Brother Paul competed for the Mustangs Baseball team for four years. A graduate of Lucas Secondary School, she was captain of the volleyball, golf and badminton teams. Excelling in the classroom as well, she was a High School Athletic Award of Merit winner and the London SPECTRA award winner in 2010. Competing in her prep volleyball career for Forest City Volleyball Club, she was a FCVC and OVA Award of Excellence winner as well as captain of her FCVC squad. She was also selected to represent Team Ontario Indoor Volleyball for two seasons and won a National Team Challenge Cup silver medal.
