Amanda Anderson led the Western Mustangs with 42 points in a pair of wins over Ryerson and Toronto on the road Nov. 27-28. On Nov. 27 in a win over OUA East leader Ryerson, the fifth-year guard led the Mustangs with 23 points and two assists Then on Nov. 28, in a 84-67 win over Toronto, Anderson led Western with a 19-point effort and strong defence.
"This is the best overall I have seen Amanda play," said head coach Stephan Barrie. "She was terrific this weekend."
Anderson's performance helped to lift Western to a 7-1 first-half record against OUA East opponents entering the holiday break.
Anderson's season average of 16.9 points per game was easily eclipsed with her 21-point-per-game weekend average. Her weekend also included an impressive 52% shooting average from the field, including nine three-pointers (47%), six rebounds, two steals and four assists.
