Trainor tallies four tries in win over Toronto

TORONTO - Conor Trainor (Vancouver, B.C.) scored four tries for 20 points as the Western Mustangs clinched the right to host a home playoff game and improved to 5-1 by defeating the Toronto Varsity Blues 71-0 at the University of Toronto's Scarborough Campus field on Oct. 9.

Simon Fader (London, Ont.) added 16 points on eight converts, Matthew Barrett (Lindsay, Ont.) and Jesse Kliman (Victoria, B.C.) each scored two tries for 10 points, while Rory Tomlinson (Allison, Ont.), Carl Stahlbrand (Brantford, Ont.) and Mike Meschino (Oakville, Ont.) added one try for five points a piece.

Western prepares for a pair of crucial games against Guelph on Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. at the St. Georges Society Rugby Fields and rival McMaster on Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. They are the final two regular season game for Western with playoff begining Oct. 28 and Oct. 31.
