WINDSOR, Ont. - The Western Mustangs tied nationally ranked Windsor 0-0 on Oct. 14 at Alumni Stadium.
 
Both teams were pressing in the final quarter of the game. Windsor had a number of scoring opportunities, including a near miss in the dying minute of the game.
 
The Mustangs had a free kick in extra time and nearly won the game, but an excellent save from Lancers goalkeeper Dave Mendonca kept the game tied.
 
Western goaltender Andrew Murdoch earned the shutout for the Mustangs.
 
Western travels to St. Catharines, Ont., on Saturday Oct. 17 to face the Brock Badgers and then to Hamilton to face the McMaster Marauders on Sunday afternoon, oct. 18, both games at 3:15 p.m.
