The Western Mustangs men's rugby remained undefeated with a 22-14 win over the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.

Carl Stahlbrand of Brantford, Ont., paced Western with 12 points on one try, two converts and one penalty goal. Matt Barrett (Lindsay, Ont.) and David Jacks (Tottenham, Ont.) each added a try for five points apiece for the Mustangs.

James Stewart had nine points for the Hawks with one try and a pair of converts. Alex  St. John added a try in the loss for five points.

Earlier this week, Western defeated Brock 19-7 in the season opener.

Western (2-0) plays its first home game on Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. against the RMC Paladins (1-1) at the UWO Practice Fields.
