The Western Mustangs men's soccer team fell to 1-2-1 with a pair of road losses at York and Guelph Sept. 19 and 20.
On Sept. 20, Guelph's Colin MacMillian scored the game's only goal seven minutes into the game, beating Western goalkeeper Andrew Murdoch. Guelph keeper Adam Jovanovic made eight saves for the shutout win.
MacMillan's goal also ended his day as he collided with Murdoch, with the contact throwing MacMillan into a front flip
Camilo Gonzales was the bright spot for Western, giving his team a lot of energy through the middle of the pitch.
Western's offence poured it on in the second half, forcing Jovanovic to make back to back saves early in the second quarter.
Guelph remains undefated, while Western falls to 1-2-1. The Mustangs host Brock on Saturday Sept. 26 at 3:15 p.m. at the Greek Hellenic Centre in south London, before hosting McMaster at TD Waterhouse Stadium on Sunday Sept. 27 at 8:15 p.m.
