LONDON, Ont. - Marriane Filson (Denfield, Ont.) scored Western’s only goal on Saturday night against the Windsor Lancers in a 5-1 loss to Windsor.

Filson's goal was assisted by Ellie Seedhouse (Whitby, Ont.) and Meghan Hewins (Burlington, Ont.)

Although it was a scoreless first period, Windsor still managed to score five goals
in the second two periods.

Windsor goals were scored by: Courtney Spoors, Candace Rapchak, Candace Kourinis, and captain Julie Hamilton who got two.

When Western got into some penalty trouble, the Lancers took full advantage and capitalized on their powerplay opportunities.

Windsor’s Jamie Tessier faced 13 shots, while Western’s Jessica Ulrich faced 34, stopping 29.
