TORONTO - The Western Mustangs women's volleyball team came out strong to start the new year winning in straight sets against Ryerson and York on Jan. 7 and 8.
The Mustangs beat Ryerson 3-0 with set scores of 25-10, 25-20 and 25-16 on Friday night.
Kelly Frittenburg had eight kills, four solo blocks and a dig in the win.
They defeated York 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in straight sets 25-17, 25-20 and 25-16.
Elaine Screaton had eight kills and one solo block in the win.
The Mustangs will be back on the road next weekend as they face Guelph on Jan. 14 and McMaster on Jan. 15. Both games are scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
