First place Mustangs to honour FISU members and Seniors this Saturday

Feb. 12: Guelph vs. Western, 7:30 p.m., Thompson Arena

LONDON, Ont. - With first place in the OUA West wrapped up, the Mustangs will honour their Seniors on Saturday, Feb. 12 in a 7:30 p.m. contest against the Guelph Gryphons. The Mustangs also have an away game at Brock on Friday night.

The Mustangs will honour captain Kyle Lamb, assistant captains Adam Nemeth and Jason Furlong, and Jason Swit.

Lamb has consistently improved throughout his four years with the Mustangs. He had 10 points in first year, 16 in second year, and 19 in third year, while playing in all 28 of the Mustangs games those years. This year as the captain Lamb has scored 12 goals and added 16 assists, both career highs.

Jason Swit and Adam Nemeth have been strong anchoring the Mustangs defence over the years. Both have had positive plus/minus ratings their entire careers. Swit had 12 points, 11 points and 5 points in his three-year career, all with ratings over +5. 

Nemeth has played every regular season game for the Mustangs in his 4-year career, while increasing his assists every year. He had 5 assists in first year, 10 in second, 12 in third and has added 1 goal and 14 assists so far this season. This season he has an outstanding +23 rating.

Jason Furlong has been a consistent forward for the Mustangs throughout his career. In 79 games for the Mustangs he has 22 goals and 25 assists. Furlong has always had a strong plus/minus rating at +15, +22 and +11 in his three years as a Mustang.
