It was a great start for the Western Mustangs men’s soccer team on Friday as they defeated the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Ridgebacks 4-1 in Oshawa.

Dominic Bell continued his great play from the Old Four Tournament, scoring in the 55th minute to even the score at one. The Mustangs then took control with Christian Douglas, Pat Mroczek, and Matt Elias scoring in the 70th, 80th, and 90th minutes respectively to earn the win for Western. Mississauga-native Ivan Skoko got the win in net.

The Mustangs are back in action on Labour Day, traveling to Windsor to take on the Lancers. Start time is 8:15 p.m.
