MONTREAL – Only a week after capturing both the men's and women's Ontario University Athletics Championships the Western Mustangs are now the 2013 National Champions, winning both the men's and women's titles earlier today at the Canadian University Rowing Championships.

The Mustangs put on a dominant performance on the final day of competition, placing in the top three in nine of the 12 'A' finals held on Sunday.

Western's men's team claimed first place in the Heavyweight eight, and claimed second place finishes in the Heavyweight singles, Heavyweight doubles, and Lightweight fours.

The Mustangs women's team picked up gold in three events; Lightweight doubles, Lightweight fours, and Lightweight singles, while earning bronze in the Heavyweight singles and Heavyweight eight.

By virtue of their gold medal finishes in various events 14 Mustangs were named Canadian All-Stars. The full list of Mustangs all-stars is available below.
