The Western Mustangs are set to travel to Ottawa this weekend for their fifth game of the season as they look for their first OUA win after falling to Brock, Waterloo, McMaster and Windsor earlier this year. The young Western team has already faced some of the top teams in Ontario, taking the OUA-leading Waterloo and Windsor squads to four close sets, including a two-point loss in the third and fourth sets to the Lancers.
Leading the Mustangs this year is fourth-year right-side hitter
Stephanie Kreuter with 44 kills and 6.5 blocks for an average of 3.53 points per set on the season. Kreuter counted a game-high 17 kills in the Mustangs most recent match against Windsor last weekend and currently comes in at number 14 on the OUA women's volleyball leaderboard.
Close behind Kreuter is second-year left-side hitter
Kenzie MacDonald with 39 kills and 3 points per set, recording a season-high best of 14 points in last weekend's Windsor match-up.
The Mustangs will be looking to continue to improve as they head into the weekend game and pursue their first win of the season.
