The Mustangs return to Alumni Hall on January 16 and 17 for another weekend of dual home game action against Toronto and Ryerson.

With eleven games under their belt and a 3-8 record, the Mustangs look to the weekend to end their current five game-losing streak. Averaging 11.09 kills per set and 2.13 blocks per set while picking up an average of 13.51 digs per set, the Mustangs have proven competency in both the front and back court.

Kelsey Veltman continues to top the purple and white score sheet, averaging 3.7 points per set.
Aja Gyimah and
Serena Smith follow closely behind, averaging 2.7 and 2.3 points per set. Veltman also tops the CIS board in solo blocks (33) while sitting in eighth place for blocks per set (1.18).

Katherine Tsiofas will look to use the matchups to record her 250
th assist this season while helping her team combat the competition coming in from Toronto.

Currently in sole possession of first place in the OUA, Toronto is prepared to challenge the Mustangs. Averaging 13.29 kills per set, 2.51 blocks per set, and 18.09 blocks per set, the Varsity Blues have undoubtedly earned their place at the top.

The fourth ranked CIS team has had a perfect season thus far with an 11-0 record.

Senior Charlotte Sider has led the team in points this season, while also sitting in seventh within the CIS for both points per set (4.2) and kills per set (3.44). Caleigh Cruickshank and Jennifer Neilson both follow with 3.5, and 3.4 points respectively. However, Sider isn't the only Varsity Blue who's impressing this season. Setter Madelyn Mandryk sits in first place within Canada for assists per set (10.73), with Bojana Radan tied for fifth in total solo blocks (21) and Denise Wooding in sixth for digs per set.

Tied for second place within OUA East, the Ryerson Rams hold a 9-2 record headed into the weekend.

Averaging 11.92 kills per set and 1.92 blocks per set, the Rams are statistically similar to the Mustangs in relation to net play. However, with an average of 15.78 digs per set Ryerson has consistently used a tight defense to give them an edge over the competition.

Third year Ram Veronica Livingston currently leads the team in points per set, averaging 4.4, with freshman Theanna Vernon close behind at 3.5 points per set. Both players also represents Ryerson on the CIS leaderboard, with Livingston sitting third in kills per set (3.81) and fourth in points per set (4.4), with Vernon leading in hitting percentage (.415) as well as earning third place in solo blocks (23).
