Box Score WATERLOO, Ont. – After a hard-fought 90 minutes, the Western Mustangs extended their undefeated streak to six games by earning a 0-0 draw with the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday afternoon at University Stadium.
Western has now won or tied each of the past six games, with the team's last and only loss of the season coming in their season opener against the McMaster Marauders. The Mustangs 4-1-2 record keeps the purple and white in second in the OUA West Division, while Laurier's 3-3-1 mark has the Golden Hawks tied for fourth with Windsor.
The Golden Hawks held the edge in shots on Sunday, firing off seven in the first half and another six in the second. Western also had seven shots in the opening 45 minutes, with another four coming in the final half.

Ben Cowman got the start in net for Western, stopping all four shots sent his way, while Rocco Strazzella guarded the Laurier goal, making two saves.
After two consecutive weeks playing away from home, the purple and white will be back at the friendly confines of Mustangs Field next weekend for a pair of games against Guelph and York. The Gryphons are first on the schedule, with a showdown set for Saturday, September 24, at 3:15 p.m., while the two-time defending CIS Champion Lions will come to London on Sunday, September 25, at 2:15 p.m.
