WINDSOR, Ont. - The Western men's soccer team battled in a competitive match to walk away with a 0-0 draw on Friday evening in Windsor, Ont.

With the tie, the Mustangs improve to a 6-3-4 record on the season as they remain in fourth place in the OUA West division standings. The draw gives the Lancers a 5-4-4 record on the season, as they remain in sixth place in the OUA West division standings.

It was a slow start for both teams to begin the match, as Western struggled to get a single promising scoring opportunity for much of the first half. However, the pressure quickly began to amount for both teams late in the half, but an inability to break through the physicality of the defence left both teams scoreless by the end of the first half.

Western continued to pepper Windsor with a fury of shots throughout the half, but an aggressive defence from the Lancers left the Mustangs leaving with the 0-0 draw.

The Mustangs will be back in action this Sunday, October 14 where they will host the Lancers in a rematch on Mustangs Field. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:15 P.M. EST.
