Weisdorf's Walk-off Picture Perfect Ending In Western Victory Over Laurier

The Mustangs defeated Laurier 5-4 on Sunday thanks to a walk-off single. 

The game was tied at four with Western batting in the bottom of the ninth when Harry Weisdorf singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

In the first inning, the Mustangs got their offense started when Jeff Martin singled to bring in a run.

Adam Paish led the team to victory on the mound allowing eight hits and four runs over nine innings, striking out three.

Austin Hassani took the loss for Laurier Golden Hawks. He surrendered one run on three hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one.

Kyle Symington started the game for Laurier Golden Hawks. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing ten hits and four runs while striking out two

Western totaled 13 hits with Weisdorf, Jalyn Trinidad, Damon Crumplen, Eric Beauchesne, and Will Pollard all having a multi-hit game. Weisdorf went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Mustangs in hits.

Western is now 7-1 in conference play & 9-1 overall.
