Giffen, Liegghio, Femi-Cole & Kambamba selected in 2020 CFL Draft

London, ON - Four members of the Mustangs Football team took the next step in their athletic careers on Thursday night as the CFL Draft was held.



OL Dylan Giffen was the first to hear his name called as it came in the 3rd round from the Toronto Argonauts. The Strathroy, ON native took a leading role on the Western offensive line this year and was extremely impressive.
The second Mustangs to be selected was kicker Marc Liegghio, he was picked by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 5th round. Liegghio finished the 2019 season with a career high 92% field goal completion rate going 22 for 24 while totaling 97 points, pair that with his punting game which saw him total 1757 yards with an average punt of 47.5 yards which also was a career best. 
Next was RB Jonathan Femi-Cole who was picked by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 6th round. Although this was Femi-Cole's first season with the Mustangs he stepped into a leading role with the Mustangs ground game totaling over 200 yards on 46 touches while adding 6 TD's.
 
The final Mustang to be selected was LB Bleska Kambamba who will join Liegghio with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Kambamba was picked in the 8th round of the draft. Kambamba had a total of 31 tackles on the year and added 2 interceptions and 1 sack.
