Mustangs Men's Hockey 2021 Hot Stove Series

1/22/2021 10:04:00 AM

London, ON - Western Mustangs Men's Hockey, Clarke Singer (Head Coach, Western Mustangs Men's Hockey) and the 7th Man Group (the Mustangs Men's Hockey Alumni Group, which is majority made up of all former Men's Hockey team captains) - invite all alumni, Western faculty and staff, students, fans and the general public, to join them for the virtual Mustangs Hockey 2021 Hot Stove Series, starting in February and running through until April.

This series will showcase a number of interesting and engaging individuals from the sports world. The guests will include well known SportsNet journalists, a current NHL captain and head scout, a former NHL head coach, and a former NHL player agent.

Hosted by London TV personality Ryan Robinson BA'03, each guest will be interviewed for 40 - 45 mins. This will be followed by an interactive Q&A for 15 mins with the audience.

Speaking with Singer, he noted that "it has been very difficult to offer events for our alumni during the [current] health crisis. In fact, we have had to cancel a number of functions specifically designed for our alumni. This new initiative will give our alumni and fans a chance to connect."

The idea for this series came out of a dinner that the 7th Man Group held back in November 2019, that had Elliotte Friedman as a guest, which led to discussion about offering something like this online while in-person events are limited.

The price is $50 for the entire series. All proceeds from this series will go directly to the Mustangs Men's Hockey Team.
