London, ON - The Mustang's Men's Lacrosse Team finished the 2022-2023 regular season with a 9-1 record, securing them a spot in the CUFLA West Playoffs where they will host the McMaster Marauders.

Western capped the season with 7 straight wins including back-to-back victories over Brock, followed by a dominant 21-0 win over Laurentian and a 7-6 win this past Saturday against an undefeated Guelph team.

The Mustang's last 7 wins came at the perfect time. Wins over Brock and Guelph helped solidify Western as a top contender in the CUFLA and put them in a position to have the chance to advance to the Baggataway Cup with a win over McMaster on Friday October 28th.

Down the stretch, the Mustang's offence came together in big moments, with help from goaltender Michael Orlando and the Mustang's defensive core only allowing 12 goals in the last 3 games of the season, while the Mustang's offence scored 38 goals in their last 3 contests.

The Mustang's look to punch their ticket to the Baggataway Cup this Friday as they host the visiting McMaster Marauders on Friday, October 28th.
