London, ON – The 2023 OUA Football schedule was released today and another exciting season is on tap for the Mustangs, with the season kicking off August 26 when Western heads to Toronto to take on the York Lions for the first time since 2018, kickoff is set for 1:00 pm.

The Mustangs home opener this year will see the McMaster Marauders make their way to Western Alumni Stadium for a special Sunday night game at 7:00 pm under the lights on September 3.

Western will then go on a two-week road trip, starting in the nation's capital to play the Carleton Ravens on September 9^th and the following week the bus will roll to Queens University to take on the rival Gaels.

The Mustangs return home for the annual tradition that is Homecoming on September 23^rd to host the Ottawa Gee-Gees for a 1:00 pm start.

The following week it's back on the road, this time we go south on the 401 to Windsor to take on the Lancers at 1:00 pm

The last two weeks of the season will be back at home. We start with a meeting with the Toronto Varsity Blues on Oct. 14^th under the lights at 7:00 pm and then the final game of the 2023 regular season will see the Laurier Golden Hawks come to London to meet the Mustangs for a 1:00 pm kickoff.

The OUA Playoffs will commence on Oct. 28th with the OUA quarterfinals, followed by the OUA semi-finals on November 4th and the 115th Yates Cup will be contested on November 11th. The winner of the 2023 OUA Yates Cup will then take on the winner of the RSEQ Dunsmore Cup in the 2023 U SPORTS Uteck Bowl, hosted by the RSEQ.
