When we spoke to Head Coach Martin Painter after the game, he explained that coming into this game "our goals were to win the game and play well and be defensively sound, to move the ball and create changes. Those were our goals. I thought defensively sound, win the game. I thought in possession, decision making – I think we struggled at times with possession. I thought Brock did some good things, made it difficult for us so it was a hard-fought game and we are happy to get three points".
After a scoreless first half, we asked Coach Painter what the conversation was like at halftime to turn the game around. He noted that "I thought towards the end of the first half we started to settle down a bit, had some of our best moments late in the first half – had a couple good chances but yeah it was tough breaking them down and I felt in second half we just wanted a little bit more composure. I thought there were moments where we looked better in the second half, but I thought it was a struggle all game to be honest with you. I think, great goal we scored – excellent finish and I thought there were some other situations that we created that were good, but we've still got to work on that efficiency and creativity when we do get the ball forward."
