Mustangs keep hot hand going, beat Guelph by 34 points

GUELPH, ON - 

After taking care of business against the Gryphons at home last Saturday, the Mustangs travelled to Guelph for a rematch.

In the first quarter, the Mustangs got out early and shot the lights out. They led at the end of first quarter 25-17, Imran Armstrong and Noah Otshudi taking the reins for Western. 

In the second quarter, the Mustangs continued to run away with the game, building a lead by as much as 20 points. Their offense flowed, and their defense applied pressure on the Gryphons. Western's shooting continued to light it up, going 7-12 from beyond the arc, and 20-33 from the field. They closed out the half up 50-32. 

The Mustangs showcased their depth yet again, getting 36 bench points. Armstrong and Troy Nekkers led the bench for the Mustangs, scoring 17 points and 9 points respectively. Throughout the fourth quarter, Western maintained their lead, closing out the game 99-65. The Mustangs improve to 10-6 on the season and maintain their first place position in the OUA West Division.
