At the 2024 OUA Championship in St Catharines, Western battled their way through some challenging conditions to claim a pair of team silver medals. Â

The Men's team picked up 165 points, just 6 points off the 1st place Brock Badgers.Â

Western took four gold medals (8+, Lightweight 2-, 4+ & 2-). The Mustangs took three silvers (2x, Lightweight 8+ & 1x) and one bronze.Â

On the Women's side, they posted 152 points which was 20 points behind the champions from Queen's.Â

The lone gold medal came in the Lightweight 4+, while they took a pair of silver medals (8+ & Lightweight 2-) and four bronze medals (2-, Lightweight 1x, 2x & Lightweight 8+).Â

At the Canadian University Rowing Championship in Victoria, the Western got a pair of silver medals in the Men's 2- & the Men's 8+ while the Lightweight Women's 1x & Lightweight Women's 2- took bronze.Â

The Men's 2-, consisting of Adam Griesbach & Aidan Hembruff picked up a silver medal while both were also in the Men's 8 boat along with Teija Patry, Kyland Mels-Williams, Matt Yate, Richard Magony, Sebastian Friedrich Yap, Oliver Baker & William BorrittÂ

On the women's side Molly Brooksbank took the bronze in the lightweight single while Kira Mels-Williams and Olivia Calbeck finished in third-place in the pair.Â

In overall scoring, the Mustangs finished 4th on both the men's and women's team scoring. The Men's team scored 86 points while the Women's team scored 72 points.Â
