GAME RECAP

The first set was a back-and-forth battle from the start. Western jumped out early and looked in control around the middle of the set, but Toronto kept answering with big swings and a few tough serves to stay right there. Late in the set, Toronto went on a small run and flipped the score after it was tied in the low 20s. Western tried to push it to extra points, but Toronto closed it out with a couple clean plays at the net. Toronto took the first set 25–23.

In the second set Western was setting the tone early. They built a quick lead with strong serving and good defense, and that gave them some breathing room. Toronto had a few short runs to cut into the gap, but Western kept siding out and answered almost every time. The end of the set was steady and controlled from the Mustangs, who didn't let the lead slip away. Western evened the match by winning the set 25–21.

Set three was all Western. They came out fast, stacked up points with good blocks and quick kills, and forced Toronto into mistakes. The lead grew fast, and even when Toronto grabbed a few points, the Mustangs stayed calm and kept the pressure on. The set never really felt close after the midway point. Western rolled through it and won the set 25–16.

The fourth set was not a great start for the Mustangs. Toronto came out sharper, grabbed an early lead, and started scoring in bunches off good passing and clean attacks. Western tried to slow things down with a timeout and a few subs, but Toronto kept the momentum and kept finding open spots on the court. The gap kept growing, and Toronto finished strong to force a fifth set. Toronto took set four 25–17.

In the fifth set, it was a race to 15, and Western set the pace right away. They jumped out to an early lead with tough serves and quick points in transition. Toronto fought back with a few strong plays, but Western stayed in front and didn't let the lead slip. A couple big points late sealed it, and Western closed out the match. Western won the final set 15–10.
