London, ON - The Western Mustangs Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 15 are Hallee Knelsen (Track & Field) and Madeline Pelosi (Volleyball).
Pelosi had 74 digs on the weekend including 46 night 1 vs Toronto. Shattering the previous team record of 36 digs in a match. She moved into first to finish OUA season in both total digs and digs per set.
Knelsen set a new school record in the women's 1000m at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Classic. She won the event in 2:42.38. This is her third year in a row rewriting this school record. She is now ranked 1st in U SPORTS.
