London, ON - The OUA announced their 2026 Men's Basketball Major Award Winners and All-Stars Friday morning. A trio of members of the Mustangs Men's Basketball team were recognized.

Milan "Tiny" John was named a 1st Team All-Star, Matteo Zagar was named a 3rd Team All-Star & Owen Urquhart was named to the All-Rookie Team.



"t's honestly a very surreal moment for me just being here for 4 years being able to play with, and behind some of the best players in the country the past couple years has been a major inspiration for me." said John. "Just want to give all my teammates the love they deserve cause I would not be here without them."

John played 672 minutes this season, scoring 388 points (8th in the OUA). He ranked 3rd in steals with 46 and also ranked 6th in the province with 89 assists.

"Tiny was our unquestioned leader both on and off the court. He had a tremendous season overall being in the league leaders in many categories. said Mustangs Head Coach Brad Campbell.



"I never expected any of these major accolades. But it is a blessing to get this recognition for all of the work that I have put in." said Zagar of the award.

Zagar ranked 6th in the OUA with 182 rebounds, scoring 295 points and ranked 5th in steals with 41.

"Matteo was one of the leading rebounders in the OUA and just like Tiny stuffed the stat sheet in many areas. Matteo provided us with both a very effective inside and outside presence ." said Campbell



"It is a huge honour to be named to the all rookie team. It shows a lot of the hard work that was put in to get to this place, I couldn't have done it without my teammates and without coach Brad (Campbell) believing in me throughout the season." said Urquhart.

Urquhart was 3rd in the OUA with 31 blocks this season, while posting 102 rebounds and scoring 150 points.

"Owen had an excellent rookie season. He has a lot of offensive versatility and was a major facilitator for us with his great passing ability." said Campbell
