Markham, ON – The Mustangs Swimming team wrapped up the 2025-26 season with a 5th place finish for the women's team and an 8th place finish for the men's team at the 2026 U SPORTS Championship.
Shona Branton took a pair of bronze medals over the competition. She finished 3rd on the opening day in the Women's 100m breaststroke and added another bronze medal on day three in the 50m breaststroke.
Day two of the event saw a pair of Mustangs hit the podium as Zea Wetzlaugk won a silver medal in the Women's 50m Freestyle, breaking the school record at 24.76. Rookie Sydney Hardeman also won a bronze medal in the 50 fly, also setting a Western record of 27.85.
