SEASON RECAP
The Mustangs finished in 2nd in both the men's & women's team standings at the 2026 OUA Championship. The women's team finished with 871.5 points, while the men's team finished with 627 points. 

Western took 9 gold medals, 16 silver medals & 8 bronze medals from the three days of competition.

Riley Carswell was named OUA Male Rookie of the Year. Shona Branton was recognized as a Grand Slam Champion, winning the Women's 50 Breaststroke four times in four seasons. Hayden Bartoch, Hannah Estabrooks, and Branton all received OUA Awards of Distinction for medaling at 3 OUA Championships.

At the U SPORTS Championship, the Mustangs finished in 5th place for the women's team and an 8th-place finish for the men's team.

Shona Branton took a pair of bronze medals over the competition. She finished 3rd on the opening day in the Women's 100m breaststroke and added another bronze medal on day three in the 50m breaststroke. Day two of the event saw a pair of Mustangs hit the podium as Zea Wetzlaugk won a silver medal in the Women's 50m Freestyle, breaking the school record at 24.76. Rookie Sydney Hardeman also won a bronze medal in the 50 fly, also setting a Western record of 27.85.
