- First year athletes include information about yourself ie. Position played, # of year's experience, team last played for etc.
Step 2: Complete Medical Requirements -Â Medical Information
To be eligible for Intercollegiate Sports, individuals must have a minimum of 3 full or equivalent courses. Graduate and transfer students, with some exceptions, are eligible for most sports. Students should check with the coach of their sport for specific requirements related to eligibility

The Western Rowing season is a full year commitment, and includes the main championship fall season, winter indoor training, and spring racing. Western has excellent facilities and equipment located at both the Western main campus and Fanshawe Lake.

Varsity Rowers: Training camp starts with an orientation meeting on Mon. Aug. 25th at 7:00AM at the Doug Wells Boathouse at the Fanshawe Lake Conservation Area. Students are invited to join UWO Boat Club from Mon. Aug. 18th onwards for voluntary training sessions. Registration prior to attendance is required. Please contact Matt Waddell to register.
Novice Rowers: All potential novice rowers should contact Dan Bechard with questions and attend the novice team information session on Wednesday September 3rd at 6:30PM in the 3M Building rm 3250. No rowing experience is necessary, and students cannot have participated in an official rowing race prior to try-outs. Following the information session, select students will be invited to complete a physical assessment and competitive try-out from 6:00AM - 10AM in the Althouse College Gymnasium on Thursday, Sept 4th.
