At Western, we are committed to providing our student-athletes with the tools necessary to achieve excellence in the classroom, in their sport, and in their chosen profession. As a part of this commitment, we are determined to ensure these deserving student-athletes are able to focus on their athletic and academic goals. With your help, we can ensure that today's student-athletes are able to succeed not only today, but also into the future as well.

Coach's Message

"I’m excited and proud to once again lead an outstanding group of student-athletes, who are driven to achieve excellence in their sport and in their studies. I am also grateful for the role that you play in supporting their ongoing success and Western’s tradition of excellence in offering an athletic-academic experience that is second to none.
 
Last season the team moved from being underdogs (9th place out of 10 teams) to a spot in the OUA finals – a “first” in Western women’s hockey – ending the season with a silver medal win.
 
Heading into next year, expectations are high. We’ll refocus our efforts to build on our strengths and work on our weaknesses, with an aim to not only defend but also surpass last year’s second place finish.

Recognition Opportunities:
We are honoured to recognize the important role our donors play in helping Western recruit the best and brightest student-athletes to the ice hockey program. Every contribution will enable the ice hockey team to remain competitive on a provincial, national and international level. Our dedicated women's ice hockey supporters will receive the following:

  • Naming on the Western Mustangs website
  • Invitations to special events
  • Advance notice of important sporting events and standings
  • Correspondence with student-athletes, updates from coaches and other special communications

    Donors of annual gifts of $1,000 or more are recognized through our Leaders’ Circles. Special benefits include invitations to events throughout the year and recognition on Western’s donor board in Alumni Hall.
