As a four-year member of Simon Fraser University Women’s Basketball, Wilson was a two-time All-Conference player and an All-American. In that time SFU had a record of 86-37 while making the NCAA D2 Tournament three times, reaching the West Regional Final twice. Wilson finished her career with over 1,100 points and almost 700 rebounds. She graduated with a degree in Health Science and minor in Kinesiology.
During her time as a university player, Wilson represented Canada twice on the international stage. In 2014 she traveled to Taipei, Taiwan to compete in the Jones Cup where her team finished 5-0 and won the international event. The following year she attended the FISU games in Korea, winning her second medal for Canada as her team lost in the finals to an American team with 8 future WNBA players.
After her university career Wilson spent 5 seasons playing professionally overseas. She helped her team to win the Portuguese Federation Cup and Silver in the National finals. She was twice named Forward of the Year and First Team All Star in both Denmark and the Czech Republic.???
Wilson is a London native who attended A.B Lucas Secondary school and played for London Ramblers in for club basketball. With the Ramblers she helped her teams to 4 provincial medals in her youth career. ?
During her high school career started working local basketball camps and continued doing so all the way through her university and professional playing career. Wilson has worked with several youth club teams in Ontario, British Columbia, Denmark and Portugal. She has also done extensive individual training with athletes of all age groups.
In 2022 Wilson joined the coaching staff at Western University as an assistant coach. A year later she has become the first full-time assistant coach in Western Women’s Basketball history.
