Kristen Stafford

Kristen Stafford, a London native, has been a member of the Women's Lacrosse team since 2010 when she joined the team as a first year player. She began playing lacrosse in high school at The Culver Academies, where she won three consecutive Indiana State Championships and was named to the Indiana All-State Team in 2009. 
 
As a player at Western, Kristen won three OUA Championships in 2011, 2012, and 2013, an OUA silver medal in 2010, was a four-year starter at both Attack and Defense, earned a Bronze W in 2012, and was named team captain and an OUA All-Star in her fourth and final season. In 2012 and 2013 she led the Mustangs' defence corps to record its lowest goals against totals in program history.
 
After completing her Honours Bachelor of Arts at Huron University College in 2014, Kristen stayed with the team as an Assistant Coach for one year before taking on the Head Coaching role with Garrett Loubert. She has continued to be successful at the OUA level with championships won in 2015 and 2017, and had several players named as OUA Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year and OUA All-Stars.
