WATERLOO, Ont. - The Western Mustangs improved to 2-0 on the season with an 8-5 win over Waterloo on Oct. 17 at the Columbia Ice Fields.

Jennifer Lam (Toronto) won in mixed and women's doubles matches with her partners Jon Ma and Laura Vandervet respectively. 

Martin Giuffre, Mathew Woo, Fon Cho and Alex Bruce all won their singles matches, while Peter Butler and Jane lost theirs.

Pairings of Ma and Toshiro Sembo, Cho and Staci Miao, Giuffre and Allen Chee lost their doubles matches but Western won all the mixed doubles points in straight sets, including Bruce and Butler winning at No. 1, Ma and Lam at No. 2, and Allen Chee and Vandervet at No. 3.
