OSHAWA, Ont. – The Western Mustangs won their fifth women’s tennis match of the season on Friday, Oct. 2 defeating the UOIT Ridgebacks 7-0 and securing a place in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) championships.
Singles-match players Paige Robinson (London, Ont.), Emma Lecavalier (Mesa, Arizona), Nathalie Ranger (Oakville, Ont.), Meaghan Gutelius (Cambridge, Ont.), Insia Virji (Richmond Hill, Ont.), and Megan Proud (Calgary, Alta.), all won to secure the win by ending the singles play with a score advantage of 6-0.
