LONDON, Ont. – Mustangs graduate
Andrew Crow (Victoria, B.C.), will be travelling to Moscow Russia as the captain of the Canadian Men’s under 20 team this summer to compete in the Junior World Trophy.
Crow has been playing rugby since the eighth grade, “I started playing because my brother, who I looked up to, was the captain of our school team,” says Crow, “And I wanted to be like him.”
“I was so happy when I found out I was named captain because it was a big goal of mine that I wanted to achieve for a long time.” Exclaimed Crow
While playing for Western, Crow was named one of the OUA all stars in 2009 prior to graduating. With his fellow 25 teammates, Crow will travel back to his hometown of Victoria BC for a final training camp before competition begins in May.
“I am very excited about going home for the final training camp. We are a very big and fast team and I know that we will be surprisingly good for anyone who doubts us.” Proclaimed Crow.
Crow and the Canadian under 20 team will play Moscow in the opening game of the tournament on May 18.
